Veronica, Veterinary Assistant

Veronica started working for Dragon Lake veterinary hospital in 2019. she has lived in Quesnel for 25 years and has raised her 2 children here. She has always had a love for animals and has many horses, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. In her spare time she enjoys Barrel Racing and Rodeo with her daughter. She is a joy to have on our team and always has a big smile to greet everyone that comes in the door.

Brenda - Hospital Manager/Accounting

I was born in Quesnel and raised on a small farm in the Milburn Lake area.  My best friend growing up was a beautiful Arab cross gelding named Herman, that was a gift from my parents on my 10th birthday and the best gift I ever received.  I have shared my life with many dogs and cats over the years; currently there is just one small grey cat that I call Silky living with me.  I’m not sure who is the “pet” and who is the “owner” in this relationship, but I am sure that there is a whole lotta love :)

I have been the Bookkeeper at Dragon Lake Veterinary Hospital (DLVet) since July 2020 and a few months after that, took on the Hospital manager duties.  I thoroughly enjoy working with the amazing team at DLVet.  They are firmly committed to delivering the best care possible to the animals that come here for help and manage to maintain a positive atmosphere with lots of laughs.   I think my favorite part of the job is the opportunity to see so many cute and cuddly little faces and to witness the healing magic performed by the rock stars on our staff!

When I am not working, I like to either be creating or travelling.  I love to draw/paint, sew, bead, crochet, knit, write etc. and to travel near and far with my adorable husband, James.

Lori, Veterinary Assistant
Lori joined the team part time in August of 2021.  We were happy to move her to a full time schedule with us earlier this year (2023).

Dr. Ginger Langan, DVM

Dr. Langan grew up on an  Arabian horse Ranch in Goodfare Alberta.  Her passion for animals started from an early age.  Akita dogs & Sheba Inus were raised on the Ranch that was also home to a menagerie of zoo animals including lions, tigers, orphaned moose and deer, and many others.

Since Graduating from the University of Saskatchewan,  Dr. Langan has worked in mixed animal practice in Alberta and BC and has chosen Quesnel as her home for the past 20 years.  Serving the community with her large and small animal expertise,  Dr. Langan loves to meet people and their pet partners.  Her wide range of experience means your concerns for your animals wellness will be addressed with care and attention to detail.

She has continued her heritage on Eragon Ranch,  raising her children, cows and horses.

Erin, Veterinary Technologist
Long-time clients might recognize Erin from a few years back when she worked full-time at the clinic as a tech. When she’s not competing in endurance riding or working a shift as a paramedic; she fills in for us as a tech on some of the busier days. At home, Erin looks after a variety of animals from pets to livestock including ducks and a llama!

Emma, Reception

Emma joined the team in 2021 and helps out at the reception desk. She hopes to gain some valuable experience while working at the clinic as she would like to pursue a career with animals. She is considering veterinary medicine, but specifically is looking forward to working with horses in some capacity. On her weekends you might be able to find Emma competing at a rodeo event, or at home on the farm tending to her dogs, cats, and horses.

Taryn, Veterinary Assistant
We welcomed Taryn to the DLVet team in March of 2023.
